Easter

Easter Sunday was yesterday and we celebrated at church as well as going to Grandma's house to eat.  I did not get to go to service - I had nursery but I did sneak in long enough to see the preschool choir perform.  This was Meredith and Mikayla's first church performance.  Meredith sang loud and danced to the beat - I always knew she was a performer.  Mikayla sang some of the song then after a while she just sat down on the steps.  Don't know if you can tell from the picture but both girls carried their Easter purse on stage with them.  Hopefully in the next few days I will add the video(for Tiki to see) 

Princess Party

Saturday the  girls were invited to their friends 3 year old Birthday party.  The party was a Princess Party so of course we wore our best princess outfit.  Meredith of course loved it - she was right at home with all her princess friends.  Mikayla enjoyed the cupcakes the best.

Easter Egg Hunt

Friday we participated in an Easter Egg Hunt at church.  The girls had lots of fun - Meredith had to stop an open each egg immediately to see what was inside, we couldn't get her to understand that she could open them later.  Of course the parents had to get a picture of all the preschool friends.

UU

We spent Tuesday-Thursday of this Spring Break on the road.  The girls and I traveled to Union with our youth groups Next Generation Leaders.  This is a group of 10th-12th grade students who are mentors to our younger youth.  We went to Union to deliver a check form our church to go towards the recovery fund.  Here is a picture of the youth on the famous bridge(have to know Jarred to understand)  The other picture is me, Jarred, and the girls.  This is a special picture because it is taken in the very spot at Union where Jarred proposed to me - way back on  September 12, 1998. Now almost 10 years later we sit in that spot with our 2 girls.

Slidin'

The girls went to a friend's birthday party on Saturday - as you can see they had a lot of fun - the big blow up slide was their favorite - they liked it better that the cake and ice cream!

Easter Egg Hunt

The girls had an Easter Egg Hunt at preschool on Thursday - of course they had to have an Easter Bunny shirt to wear - and so did their friends -Chloe-Mikayla-Mckenzie-Meredith

Meredith: Can I be a princess?

Mom:When we get to our house you can dress up like a princess.

Meredith: Princesses not live in houses

Mom: Where do they live?

Meredith: Castles

Mom: Really, who told you that?

Meredith: Belle (from Beauty and the Beast)

I laughed so hard I cried - what will I do with my princess???

Saturday it snowed about 2 inches - the girls got to play outside and throw snow balls at Poppy.

After the snow we went to Cason's first birthday party.  The girls had a blast and really enjoyed the cupcakes.

Chocolate and Playing outside

I think it's safe to say my girls love chocolate!!!

Monday was a really pretty day so we played outside.  Notice Meredith does not have on a princess dress-but notice the shoes. Notice Mikayla dressed herself(yes that is a nightgown with leopard pants!)
