Snow Day (kinda)

We got just enough  snow to call off school but not enough to make it fun.  The girls did think it was the greatest thing to see the snow - so we went outside just for a few minutes to let them see it and touch it.  I think this was the first time for them to see snow(except for 1 other time when they were 9 months old) i promise there is snow coming down!

New Play Room?

So we have this great playroom for the girls - we love it - I have my work area off to the side and they get the whole room for toys!  So the other day I guess I was working really hard and not really paying attention to what the girls were doing - I just know they were not fighting.  Much to my surprise this is what I discovered.
Yes - that's right - the girls turned the bathroom into the playroom and yes that is a kiddy potty that the toys are on!!  Can we say creative?Again notice Meredith is a princess.

Cousin Cason comes to Visit

This past weekend cousin Cason came to visit. We had a lot of fun and the girls enjoyed every minute of it.  They think they need to take care of Baby Cason.  Now for those of you who don't know "Baby Cason" is 11 months old but weighs more than the girls who are 2 1/2 years old.  But the little mothers still have to take care of him.  Mother Mikayla is especially protective of her Cason.  Here is a picture of Mikayla and Cason she was helping him with his bottle(notice Cason's pants) and Meredith was in her own world being a princess.

Puppy Dogs and Princesses

Tonight was a big night for Meredith - she got to go to the store and pick out her baby doll.  Her reward for poo poo in the potty 5 times in a row.  Well if any of you know anything about Meredith you should have guessed we did not come home with a baby but a stuffed puppy dog.  Her love for puppies outshines any other toy she could be offered.  Since the dog was rather inexpensive she got to pick out one more thing - so she went to her second love - princesses.  She decided she needed a Belle crown to match her Belle dress.  Once we got home she could not put on her new crown until she put on her Belle dress.  And of course what does any good princess do  -share her crown with her puppy. Yeah Meredith!!

UU

If you haven't heard a tornado hit Union University in Jackson, TN last night.  This is the place I spent 4 years of my life.  It is a special place for me and my husband.  If you went to Union you are forever connected with the people and the place.  You can read more about it on my husband's blog - he is  much better writer than me.  Just know that we are praying for Union and the city of Jackson.

My Slippers, My Slippers

Each night my hubby and I read the girls a story and say our prayers and tuck the girls in bed.  Then each night before I go to bed I have to go in a check on them one last time and sneak one last goodnight kiss and make sure they are all covered up and snug.  Since they are wild sleepers I  usually have to move one of them back to the top of the bed.  Last night I went in their room and Meredith was talking in her sleep.  All I could make out was, "my slippers, my slippers"  wonder what she was dreaming about.  In case you didn't already know princesses don't wear shoes they wear slippers. Meredith reminds me of this on a daily basis.
On another note - its warm here so the girls got to play on the porch with bubbles and sidewalk chalk.  The yard is too muddy.  They had a blast.

Baby D

Last night was a big night for Mikayla.  She and I went to the store and she got to pick out a baby doll all by herself.  This was her reward for poo poo in the potty 5 times in a row.  She was very excited.  As we walked down every toy isle at Wal-Mart and examined each doll carefully she asked lots of questions about each one.  She finally decided on a doll that came with an extra outfit, a brush, hairdryer, and lots of hair accessories.  Before we left the toy section my sweet Mikayla asked if we could get a doll for sissy too.  She is such a caring girl.  I told her we could not this time because sissy has not yet pooped in the potty.  She was very proud to carry her doll around the whole store.  We ran into a few people we knew and Mikayla of course told them exactly why she was getting a new doll.  Once home she got her doll out and played with it for several hours - she even shared it with sissy.  We asked her what she was going to name the doll(all her other dolls are named baby kayla) she quickly decided on "Baby D" - named after her favorite babysitter.
