Weekend at Nana and Poppy's

The girls and I spent the weekend at Nana's house - Jarred went to a Chicago Cubs game(check his blog, I'm sure he'll write about it) We had a really good time- here are some pics from the weekend.

The girls and Cason helped Nana with the dishes - looks like Nana had her own assembly line going for her!! Yes, i am aware the my girls do not have on pants - I'm just glad they had on panties - don't judge until you've been there!

Mountains

Ballerina Class

Yesterday was the first day of ballet class for the girls. They were very excited(so was I) We got all dressed in our new leotard and skirt and like all good ballerinas, put our hair in a bun. Off to class we went - they were a little nervous I think because they didn't know anyone in their class. When we got there we saw two girls from church that we knew but didn't know they took ballet - so that helped. They went to class and the parents got to watch them on a TV screen in the waititng room. I had to leave early to go to a meeting so Jarred was there to pick them up. Somehow we only made it home with 3 ballet shoes - not good when you have 4 feet. Hopefully they will find it at the studio. The girls had fun and even got to do some marching in their tap shoes. Here are some pics - notice Meredith and Mikayla are the only ones not with the group in the class picture!! Also notice Mikayla's funny face in the second picture.

First Love

Meredith has been in love with Jason since she last summer when was 2 years old. She would ask for him and always want him to come to our house. She would also get real shy around him and then she would use her flirty face to flirt with him. Well at the end of last summer Jason went off to college(oh yeah, did I mention Jason is 19) Meredith was sad when he left but was always excited to see him when he was home on break. Well Jason was back again for the whole summer(he's Jarred's intern). Meredith has enjoyed him being back and always runs to Jason at church. We have watched him play softball all summer too.(Mikayla and I went to watch Jarred but Meredith went to see Jason) In a few weeks Jason will be leaving again for college - this time further away-so we will see him less often. I have not told Meredith yet - she will be really sad - She loves her Jason!!!

Funny faces

Mikayla has a new thing she like to do - make a funny face when you try to take her picture. Here is an example. I'm pretty sure she was singing the B-I-B-L-E as loud as possible(it's her favorite)

Mountains

The girls love going to the mountains. We had the chance to spend a long weekend in the mountains last weekend with the entire family. Here is a pic from the mountains.

First Day of School

Today was the first day of preschool for the girls. They were so excited to be in the 3yr. old class with Miss Kim and Miss BJ. Since I had to be at work early today Jarred took them to school (he even fixed their hair) They had a great day! We love our preschool!!!

Last night the girls helped pack their backpacks for today - they picked their favorite stuffed animal to take with them - Mikayla had to have pink bear and Meredith didn't care as long as it was a puppy.

Sweet Dreams

On Monday Meredith and Mikayla wanted to take a little nap on the couch together - so I let them. Here is a picture of sweet sisters. Not sure if you can tell but Meredith is Snow White with a pair of shorts on too. Mikayla needed her nightgown back on along with 3 pair of shorts. They have a blast palying with their clothes.
